Product Information

Name:
KN-92 hydrochloride
Description:

KN-92 is a cardiotonic agent that increases intracellular calcium levels by inhibiting the breakdown of cAMP and increasing the activity of PDE. KN-92 has been shown to be effective in treating cardiac arrhythmias, such as atrial fibrillation, and heart failure. It is also used for treatment of congestive heart failure. KN-92 blocks the action of phosphodiesterase type 3 (PDE3), which normally breaks down cAMP, thereby increasing intracellular calcium levels. In addition, KN-92 inhibits the enzyme ryanodine receptor (RYR2) and mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP). This results in an increase in intracellular calcium levels, which leads to cardiac effects such as increased contractility and relaxation.
