(-)-Isopinocampheol is a natural product with the molecular formula C(14)H(28)O. It is extracted from various plants, such as "Erythroxylum coca" and "Psychotria viridis". (-)-Isopinocampheol can be alkylated at the 2-position with chloromethyl methyl ether. This reaction yields an intermediate that undergoes β-elimination, forming a piperidine skeleton.
