Description:N-Propargylphthalimide is a supramolecular compound that has been shown to have antiinflammatory properties. It inhibits the production of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in human neutrophils, which can be caused by inhibiting the activity of acetylsalicylic acid (ASA). N-Propargylphthalimide has also been observed to inhibit tyrosinase and amine oxidase, which may be due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with the enzyme's active site. N-Propargylphthalimide has not yet been tested on animals or humans.
