Tribenzylphosphine is a coordination complex that is used in organic synthesis. It has a molecular weight of 231.2 g/mol and is soluble in solvents such as tetrahydrofuran, toluene, and chloroform. The structure consists of two benzyl groups attached to a central phosphorus atom with three oxygen atoms on each side and one hydrogen bond between the two benzyl groups. This molecule can be found in group P2 of the periodic table. Tribenzylphosphine has been shown to have anticancer activity by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells through amine binding and intramolecular hydrogen bonding.
