2-(Aminomethyl)-N,N-dimethylaniline is a synthetic chemical compound that is used as a catalyst in the production of other chemicals. It is used in the synthesis of cyclohexanol and bicarbonate. 2-(Aminomethyl)-N,N-dimethylaniline can be prepared by reacting lithium with dimethylaniline. The product may be purified through recrystallization or distillation.
