Description:Copper(II) 1,4,8,11,15,18,22,25-octabutoxy-29H,31H-phthalocyanine is a new chemical compound that has been synthesized to study the sensitivity of a sensor. It has a linear response with respect to diclofenac in the range of 0.1 - 10 μM and can be used for pharmaceutical formulations. Copper(II) 1,4,8,11,15,18,22,25-octabutoxy-29H,31H-phthalocyanine has been found to exhibit good electron transfer properties and is able to detect voltammetric peaks at potentials around ±0.5 V vs Ag/AgCl reference electrode. The sensor response was found to be higher than that of multi-walled carbon nanotubes and was found to have no interference with sodium diclofenac.
