4-Aminomethyl-2(1H)-quinolinone is an anti-cancer agent that inhibits viral replication. The mechanism of action for this drug is not fully understood, but it may inhibit DNA synthesis by binding to the enzyme topoisomerase II. This drug has also been shown to have analgesic effects due to its ability to block prostaglandin production in the central nervous system.
