Product Information
3-Hydroxysarpagine is an iridoid glucoside with anti-cancer activity. 3-Hydroxysarpagine inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells by inhibiting the growth of angiogenic blood vessels. It is also a potent inhibitor of venoterpine, a vascular endothelial growth factor that stimulates the proliferation of new blood vessels. 3-Hydroxysarpagine has been shown to have inhibitory effects on topoisomerase and other enzymes involved in DNA synthesis and repair. This compound is found in plants belonging to the Apocynaceae family, which includes venoterpine, rauwolfia, and diffraction (loganic).
