Product Information

Name:
BTZ043 Racemate
Description:

BTZ043 is a racemic mixture of two enantiomers, btz043 and btz044. It is an anti-tuberculosis drug that binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit and inhibits protein synthesis by preventing the binding of aminoacyl-tRNA to the ribosome. BTZ043 has been shown to be effective in a pharmacological study on human serum for the treatment of tuberculosis. The pharmacokinetic properties of BTZ043 have been studied in mice, with pharmacokinetic properties similar to those of nitrofurantoin. BTZ043 also has antimicrobial activity against a variety of infectious agents, including malaria, SARS coronavirus, and mycobacterium tuberculosis.br>br>
