Heat Shock Protein-90 alpha (HSP-90α) is a molecular chaperone protein that is involved in the folding and stabilization of proteins. HSP-90α is a member of the HSP family, which are known to be involved in many processes such as apoptosis, cell cycle regulation, DNA repair, and intracellular signaling. HSP-90α has been shown to inhibit the replication of viruses such as HIV by binding to viral proteins and preventing their assembly into virus particles.
