The CAS number is 109467-06-3. NTSX is a white to off-white crystalline powder that is soluble in water and has a molecular weight of 296.37. It has been shown to be active against ampicillin resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus, but not against methicillin resistant strains. NTSX can be synthesized from the drug NTST or obtained as an impurity from the synthesis of NTST.
