Description:Arphamenine B is an enzyme inhibitor that inhibits metalloproteinases and serine proteases. It has been shown to be a potent osteoinductive agent in cell culture. Arphamenine B has also been found to have a depressant effect on the growth of cells in culture, with lysine residues as the probable site of action. Arphamenine B has also been shown to inhibit soybean trypsin, which is a serine protease enzyme.
