Product Information

Name:
Glucosyringic acid
Synonyms:
  • Glucosyringicacid
  • Syringic acid 4-b-D-glucoside
  • Syringic acid-4-b-D-glucopyranoside
Description:

Glucosyringic acid is a natural phenolic acid that has been shown to have inhibitory activities against various enzymes. It binds to the active site of the enzyme and inhibits its activity. Glucosyringic acid is found in many plants, such as Quillaja saponaria and Tectorigenin, and can be used as a natural sweetener or flavoring agent. Glucosyringic acid also inhibits protein glycosylation through its inhibition of 5-o-caffeoylshikimic acid, which blocks the attachment of sugars to proteins. It has also been shown to modulate mass spectrometric profiles for isoflavones and other natural products research purposes.
