Product Information

Name:
Morpholine hydroiodide
Description:

Morpholine hydroiodide is an organic compound that is structurally similar to morpholine. It has been shown to induce mitotic arrest in human cells in vitro. Morpholine hydroiodide inhibits the phosphorylation of the Cdc25 protein and blocks the phosphorylation of the mitotic checkpoint protein, cyclin B1. It does this by binding to a hydroxyl group on its structure, which prevents phosphorylation. Morpholine hydroiodide has been shown to have pharmacokinetic properties that allow it to be absorbed from the gut and distributed throughout the body, but it also has a low bioavailability due to its chemical stability. This compound also forms crystalline polymorphs with different solubility and stability properties.
