1,3-bis(1,1-Dimethylpropyl) benzene is a synthetic compound that is used in drug product formulation. It is also used as an analytical standard for the determination of 1,3-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)benzene in drug products and as a natural impurity in API preparations. This compound is metabolized to 1,3-dibromobenzene and 1,2-dibromoethane during its metabolic process.
