Description:Napabucasin is a natural compound that has been shown to have anti-cancer properties. Napabucasin also inhibits the proliferation of human ovarian cancer cells, which are resistant to cisplatin treatment, by inducing cell death. This drug may be a potential biomarker for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer as it accumulates in tumor tissue and inhibits the mitochondrial membrane potential. Napabucasin also showed anti-inflammatory properties against infectious diseases such as herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and influenza virus type A (H1N1).
