RHC-80267 is a drug that blocks the activation of phospholipase A2 and lipase, which are enzymes that release arachidonic acid from membrane phospholipids. It has been shown to inhibit axonal growth in the peripheral nervous system and to improve bowel function in animal models of colitis. RHC-80267 also inhibits the activity of diacylglycerol, which is an intracellular second messenger that activates protein kinase C. RHC-80267 is currently being studied as a potential treatment for Alzheimer's disease and other neurological disorders.
