Description:Decahydro-1,6-naphthyridine is a decahydroquinoline drug that was discovered by scientists at the University of Minnesota. It was found to be an inhibitor of cellular processes that are involved in DNA synthesis and repair. The compound has been shown to have stereoselective inhibitory activity against human blood cells, with diastereomers exhibiting the most potent inhibition. Decahydro-1,6-naphthyridine also inhibits the enzyme cassette protein kinase in human erythrocytes and thymocytes. This drug is chiral and has two stereoisomers: S(+)decahydro-1,6-naphthyridine and R(-)decahydro-1,6-naphthyridine.
