Product Information
Beclabuvir is a piperazine derivative that is used as an antiviral drug. It has been shown to inhibit the replication of hepatitis C virus (HCV) in cell culture, and inhibits the reactivation of HCV in patients treated with pegylated interferon-α2a and ribavirin. Beclabuvir has also been shown to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species, which are involved in many cellular processes, including cell signaling and proliferation. In addition, beclabuvir has been shown to have antiviral activity against HIV-1.
The reaction rate for this compound can be increased by adding an oxidizing agent such as hydrogen peroxide or peroxydisulfate.
