11-Piperazin-1-yl-dibenzo[b,f][1,4]thiazepine is a drug used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. It is a member of the thiazepine class of antipsychotics that blocks dopamine receptors in the brain. 11-Piperazin-1-yl-dibenzo[b,f][1,4]thiazepine has been shown to be effective for treatment trials and toxicity studies in animals. This drug has also been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect on cytokines such as il-10. The drug interacts with other drugs by inhibiting the activity of certain enzymes that metabolize it so it can be eliminated from the body more quickly.
