Methyl 2-(2-methoxy-4-prop-1-enylphenoxy)acetate is a potent and selective inhibitor of the antibody production. It binds to protein ligands that are involved in the activation of antibody production. This inhibition blocks the receptor from binding with its natural ligand, preventing activation of T cells and B cells, and inhibiting antibody production. The methyl 2-(2-methoxy-4-prop-1-enylphenoxy)acetate may also be used as a research tool for studying cell biology and peptides.
