VU0285655-1 is a chemical inhibitor that inhibits the protein phosphorylation and activation of the transcription factor HDAC. It has been shown to be effective against cancer cells, such as t47d cells, by causing apoptosis. VU0285655-1 also has anti-inflammatory effects, which may be due to its ability to inhibit oxidative injury and autophagy in rat neutrophils. This drug may also be beneficial in treating degenerative diseases and inflammatory diseases, such as Parkinson's disease and rheumatoid arthritis, respectively.
