CaMKII-IN-1 is a novel algorithm that can be used to analyze the microstructural changes in bone tissue. The algorithm is based on the use of an excised metaphysis and a waveguide for experimental models. The algorithm is noncontact and does not require staining, which makes it suitable for use with immunosensors. This algorithm has been shown to be effective in identifying markers of osteoporosis, including epiphyseal plate thickness, periosteal thickness, and trabecular bone density. CaMKII-IN-1 has also been shown to be capable of identifying strain in bone tissue.
