Product Information
JP 1302 dihydrochloride is a potential research tool for studying the pharmacology of synaptic transmission. It was shown to have dose-dependent effects on neurotransmitter release in vitro. JP 1302 dihydrochloride has been shown to increase noradrenaline release from nerve endings in rat brain slices, with a maximum effect at 10 μM. This effect was mediated by stimulation of adrenergic receptors, as demonstrated by the dose-dependent inhibition of this effect observed by rauwolscine, an antagonist of these receptors. JP 1302 dihydrochloride also increases the frequency of nerve impulses in rats and may be useful in the study of monosynaptic transmission.
