Product Information
4-Bromobenzaldehyde oxime is an antibacterial agent that binds to the surface of gram-positive pathogens and inhibits their growth. It has been shown to inhibit the biosynthesis of bacterial cell walls, which may be due to its ability to form a covalent bond with serum albumin. This functional group is also responsible for the antiinflammatory activity 4-Bromobenzaldehyde oxime displays. The carbonyl group on this molecule reacts with abscisic acid (ABA) in a dehydration reaction, producing a chloride and an oxazolidinone.
