Isoapetalic acid is a compound that has been shown to have inhibitory properties and inhibitory compounds. It has antimycobacterial activity and can be used for the treatment of tuberculosis, as well as other mycobacterial diseases. Isoapetalic acid is a molecule that is chiral, meaning it contains two asymmetric carbon atoms. The molecule can exist in either of two forms, -isoapetalic acid or +isoapetalic acid. Isoapetalic acid may also be found in calophyllum inophyllum and taraxerol, which are components of the Calanolides A-E family of compounds. This compound inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the ribosome at a site near the exit tunnel, preventing peptide bond formation. Apigenin is an antioxidant that may also have anti-inflammatory effects and inhibitory properties.
