Dansyl Fluoride is a molecule that can be activated by biological processes. It can be used as a probe for kinetic studies of biological samples and to identify the sites of disulfide bonds. Dansyl Fluoride has been found to be useful in identifying active sites in proteins, such as protease activity, carboxy terminal sites, and high salt conditions. This compound also has the ability to react with nucleophilic groups of amino acids.
