Description:
1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-2,2,4,7-tetramethylquinoline is a synthetic derivative of the natural quinoline alkaloid 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline. It acts as an acceptor of hydrogen peroxide and has been shown to have antioxidant effects in human lymphocytes. 1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-2,2,4-trimethylquinoline has also been found to be genotoxic and able to induce micronuclei and genotoxicity. This compound can be used for the treatment of oxidative stress and damage.
