Description:Conteltinib is an orally-administered, potent and selective inhibitor of fibroblast activation protein (FAP) that has been shown to inhibit the proliferation and migration of myofibroblasts in vitro. Conteltinib also inhibits the growth of various cancers in mice, including colorectal cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and prostate cancer. The mechanism by which conteltinib inhibits FAP is not known, but it may be due to multivalent binding or inhibition of FAP proteolytic activity. Conteltinib is being investigated as a potential treatment for fibrotic diseases such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
