Product Information

Name:
F1839-I
Controlled Product
Description:

F1839-I is a small molecule that inhibits the production of tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and serum enzymes, such as dismutase activity. It also has a toxic effect on respiratory system cells, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis. This drug also has an inhibitory effect on the influenza virus and has been shown to have antiviral properties against HIV. F1839-I inhibits tyrosine kinase and cholesterol esterase, two important biomolecules that play a role in many cellular processes. F1839-I is a cyclic peptide with a chemical structure containing three amino acids: tyrosine, phenylalanine, and tryptophan. The name was derived from the molecular weight of 1839 Da and its inhibition of TNF-α production.
