Product Information
Dimeric coniferyl acetate is a natural product that has potent cytotoxicity, dose-dependent inflammatory disease activity, and inhibitory activities against carcinoma cells. It belongs to the group of flavanones and diterpenes and can be found in propolis, echinochloa, and tropical plants. Dimeric coniferyl acetate is an inhibitor of the enzyme tyrosinase, which catalyzes the conversion of tyrosine to dopa and DOPA to melanin. The inhibition of this enzyme may lead to a decrease in melanin production or even cell death.
