Product Information
Tafluprost is a prostaglandin F2-alpha analog that has been shown to be an activator of the human EP4 receptor. Tafluprost binds to the EP4 receptor, which is found in many tissues and cells, including the eye. This binding activates the receptor, which causes increased levels of cAMP and PKA. These increase levels of cAMP and PKA cause vasodilation and reduced intraocular pressure. Tafluprost is used as an ophthalmic medication for the treatment of glaucoma.
