Description:BIBF0775 is a small-molecule inhibitor of the platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR) that was developed for the treatment of cancer. It binds to the kinase domain of PDGFR and inhibits the activity of this protein. BIBF0775 is active against a number of cancers, including glioma, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, and prostate cancer. The effective dose has been shown to be 0.1 μM in cells grown in vitro and 10 mg/kg in mice bearing xenograft tumors.
