Product Information
- Phosphine, (oxydi-2,1-phenylene)bis[dicyclohexyl-
- Bis[2-(Dicyclohexylphosphino)Phenyl] Ether
Bis(dicyclohexylphosphinophenyl) ether is a reducing agent that catalyzes the reductive amination of carbonyl compounds. It is activated by electron-donating groups, such as carboxylic acids, alcohols, and amines. Bis(dicyclohexylphosphinophenyl) ether has been shown to be an effective catalyst for reductive amination reactions of aldehydes with primary and secondary amines in the presence of a ruthenium catalyst. The phosphine group in this compound acts as both a reductant and as an acceptor for electrons from the ruthenium catalyst.
