DT-061 inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the cell membrane and forming pores, which leads to increased permeability, leakage of intracellular contents, and finally cell death. DT-061 has been shown to be effective against tumor xenografts in mice. This drug also inhibits the expression of target genes in prostate cancer cells when used at low concentrations.
