Product Information
GsMTx4 is a ryanodine receptor agonist that binds to the ryanodine receptor and activates signal pathways. It has been shown to activate mechanosensitive channels and regulate intracellular Ca2+ levels by inducing an increase in Ca2+ release from the endoplasmic reticulum. GsMTx4 has also been shown to have pharmacological effects on cells, as well as physiological effects on Grammostola spatulata, such as inhibition of locomotion and increased mortality. GsMTx4 has also been shown to have antiviral properties against infectious diseases such as influenza, herpes simplex virus-1, and West Nile virus.
