Description:
Butanoic acid, 2-methyl-, hexyl ester is a hydroalcoholic extract of Capsicum annuum. It has been shown to have a safety profile in animal studies and is not toxic for humans. Butanoic acid, 2-methyl-, hexyl ester has been shown to have radical scavenging activities and inhibit enzyme activities in the plant Dysaphis plantaginea. This compound also inhibits the growth of plants by preventing the production of fatty acids and hindering the synthesis of proteins. The analog of butanoic acid, 2-methyl-, hexyl ester is butanoic acid, 2-methyl-, heptyl ester.
