Ethyl (1,5-dimethyl-3-oxo-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)carbamate is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in organic solvents. The molecular formula is C8H10N2O2 and the molecular weight is 200.17 g/mol. Ethyl (1,5-dimethyl-3-oxo-2-phenyl pyrazol 4 yl)carbamate has a planar structure and the pyrazole ring subtends a hydrogen bond acceptor. It also stabilizes the benzene ring by forming hydrogen bonds with it and stacking interactions with the pyrazole ring. This compound has been shown to form dimers when heated above its melting point.
