Chromium phosphate is a compound that is used as a cross-linking agent in the production of plastics. It is also known to be a strong reducing agent and can react with water vapor to form chromium hydroxide, which is an inorganic acid. Chromium phosphate reacts with metal hydroxides, such as calcium hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide, to form chromium hydroxide, which can then be reacted with epidermal growth factor or other chemical compounds. The reaction mechanism of chromium phosphate has not been fully elucidated.
