Product Information
Cabraleone is a natural compound found in the bark and leaves of the Meliaceae family. It has been shown to have cytotoxic properties against leukemia cells in vitro, which may be due to its ability to inhibit DNA synthesis. Cabraleone also has anti-inflammatory effects and can be used for the treatment of symptoms caused by chronic inflammation. The skeleton of cabraleone's structure is composed of two benzene rings that are linked together by a methylene bridge, with an additional methyl group attached to one of the ring carbons. The molecule's name is derived from its structural similarity to cabralin (a naturally occurring plant product). Cabralin's structure was first determined using x-ray diffraction studies.
