Rilmazafone hydrochloride is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase A (PPIA). It binds to PPIA and prevents the formation of peptidyl-prolyl bonds in proteins. Rilmazafone hydrochloride is used as a research tool to study protein interactions, as an activator for peptides, and as a high purity reagent for life sciences. The active form of this drug binds to ligands on antibody molecules and blocks the activity of ion channels.
