Description:
1,3-Dipropyl-8-phenylxanthine is a receptor antagonist that blocks the activity of adenosine receptors. It binds to a-adrenergic receptors on the surface of cells and prevents the binding of adenosine. This drug is used in diagnosis and treatment of many diseases such as low potency, autoimmune diseases, encephalitis, and symptoms. 1,3-Dipropyl-8-phenylxanthine has been shown to be effective against symptoms associated with α subunit antibodies (e.g., myasthenia gravis).
