Description:
3',5,5',7-Tetrahydroxyflavanone is a flavanone that is found in plants. It is metabolized to 3,5,5',7-tetrahydroxyflavanone (3,5,7-THF) and then hydroxy groups and then to hydroxy metabolites. The hydroxy metabolites are oxidized by cytochrome P450 enzymes. 3',5,5',7-Tetrahydroxyflavanone has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria such as Streptococcus pyogenes and Clostridium perfringens.
