Description:
Ethyl 1-(4-fluorophenyl)-4-hydroxy-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylate is an acid ethyl ester that has been found to inhibit the assembly of HIV virions. This is a result of its ability to inhibit the formation of pyrazoles from the esterification of 4-hydroxypyrazole and phenol. Ethyl 1-(4-fluorophenyl)-4-hydroxy-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylate is an ethyl ester that can be used in place of the more commonly used ethanolic solvents.
