Product Information
- Adenosine, N(6)-Cyclohexyl-
- (4xi)-N-cyclohexyladenosine
- N-cyclohexyladenosine
N6-Cyclohexyladenosine is a potential experimental drug for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. It has been shown to have low potency and microdialysis probes have demonstrated that it inhibits glutamate release. N6-Cyclohexyladenosine may be an antagonist at the adenosine A1 receptor and may act as a cholinergic agonist or inhibitor. The optimum concentration of N6-Cyclohexyladenosine for locomotor activity is not known, but it is thought that it has a low potency in this area.
