Product Information
Auxinole is a plant hormone that is synthesized from indole-3-acetic acid. Auxinole plays an important role in the regulation of cell division, patterning, and growth. It also regulates the transport of auxin in plants. Auxinole can be used to inhibit the uptake and synthesis of auxin by cells. This drug has been shown to inhibit histochemical staining and mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase activity in cultured human colon cancer cells (HCT116). The use of this inhibitor has led to the discovery of new molecular mechanisms involved in auxin-mediated growth inhibition.
