Product Information
N-Methylcalycinine is an alkaloid that belongs to the group of aporphines. It has been shown to have immunomodulatory effects and can inhibit acetylcholinesterase activity. N-Methylcalycinine is found in plants such as Cyclea, Liriodendron, Stephania, and Stepharia. N-Methylcalycinine has been shown to act as an anticholinesterase agent in vitro. It also binds to the acetylcholine receptor site on the cholinergic synapse membrane and inhibits acetylcholinesterase activity by competing with acetylcholine for binding site recognition.
