Description

Cinnamtannin A2 is a type of cinnamic acid derivative that has been shown to inhibit the physiological activity of procyanidins. The chemical structure of Cinnamtannin A2 consists of a cinnamic acid moiety and a galloyl group. Cinnamtannin A2 has been shown to inhibit the receptor activity of ileal bovine cells, which may be due to its ability to decrease camp levels and increase urea nitrogen levels. Cinnamtannin A2 has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in animal models.
