It has been shown to be stable in air and water, and is active under heterogeneous conditions, such as in the presence of palladium on carbon. 4-Amino-N-methoxy-N-methylbenzamide is also a ligand for the palladium, which can be used to catalyze carbonylative coupling reactions. This ligand has shown high activity for aryl bromides.
