Description:Dg 041 is a synthetic peptide that has been shown to inhibit the activity of myosin phosphatase in the tibialis anterior muscle of wild-type mice. This inhibition was associated with an increase in intracellular calcium concentration, which may be due to receptor binding. Dg 041 has also been shown to have a protective effect on bladder tissue and β-cells against oxidative stress induced by pentobarbital sodium, as well as insulin resistance in liver cells. Dg 041 may also be used as an antiplatelet agent and as an inhibitor of cancer cell growth.
